We’ve met the dogs; now it’s the cats’ turn. Meet Char and Chadwick, a pair of senior brown Bengal felines (meow!). The two are siblings and litter-mates – and, while the folks at Kansas City Siamese Rescue don’t specifically state that Char and Chadwick must be adopted together, it’d be a shame to split them up after 9 years together, don’t you think?

Char is a 9 yr old female brown Bengal. She is shy until she gets to know you. Char is compact and heavily muscled and in the sunlight has the sparkle in her fur. She is typical Bengal in the fact that she likes high places. She is gentle with people and likes other cats. Her litter mate is Chadwick. Dogs are ok too.

Char is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Chadwick is a 9 yr old male brown Bengal. He is thick and heavily muscled with the spotted pattern. He is shy until he gets to know you. Chadwick is a typical Bengal in the fact that he likes high places and can be loud when calling to find the location of a friend. His litter mate is Char. He is gentle with people and enjoys the company of other cats. Dogs are ok too.

Chadwick is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Each Wednesday, the Kansas City Freecycle blog will feature one adoptable animal from a local KC rescue group or animal shelter.

We do this for several reasons:

- To highlight the plight of abused, neglected and/or homeless non-human animals in the Kansas City (and surrounding) area.

- To remind members of our no-animal policy, and provide an alternative venue for members who wish to adopt an unwanted animal companion.

- To encourage members to adopt a furry, feathered or scaled friend.

- To help out out local animal rescue groups and animal shelters, many of which are overwhelmed by the sheer number of animals in need.

- To illustrate these animals’ unique personalities and characteristics, thus underscoring the fact that they are not objects and should not be “freecycled”.
