Hey there fellow freecyclers! I know the weather is dull and dreary, but allow me to introduce you to Jackson, a handsome and well-dressed little fellow; perhaps he’ll help to brighten your morning just a bit?

Jackson, along with being very handsome, has a great personality! He loves to be cozy and warm and will seek this out by crawling under the blankets with you or trying to sneak into your coat or sweater! His tail is a longer bob and he is about 8 months old now. He would love a home with someone who likes to cuddle and play! Please fill out an application and get him home by the holidays!

I don’t know if by “holidays,” Jackson’s rescuers mean Memorial Day or the upcoming 4th of July, but probably not; more likely, Jackson has been with The Animal Rescue Alliance (T.A.R.A., for short) since before December.

Each Wednesday, the Kansas City Freecycle blog will feature one adoptable animal from a local KC rescue group or animal shelter.

We do this for several reasons:

- To highlight the plight of companion animals in the Kansas City area.

- To remind members of our no-animal policy, and provide an alternative venue for members who wish to adopt an unwanted animal.

- To encourage members to adopt a furry friend.

- To help out out local animal rescue groups and animal shelters, many of which are overwhelmed by the sheer number of animals in need.

- To illustrate these animals’ unique personalities and characteristics, thus underscoring the fact that they are not objects and should not be “freecycled”.
