Missouri lost 195,000 jobs in 2008 and the state’s unemployment rate stands at 8.3 percent today. America’s failed energy policy has worsened our economic downturn.

It is time to get Missouri’s economy moving again by investing in clean energy. The Repower, Refuel, and Rebuild America Forum features a coalition of business, labor, environmental, and community leaders who will address solutions for reducing global warming pollution and creating opportunities for economic investment, job creation, and energy independence in the Kansas City region.

Register online by April 5.

Featured Adoptables: Beagle Puppies @ the City of Gladstone Animal Control

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Update, 4/8/09: Wow, that was quick! The pups’ listing is no longer available on Petfinder. Let’s hope the lil’ guys and gals were all adopted.

null

Currently, the City of Gladstone Animal Control has five adorable beagle mix puppies available for adoption – two girls and three boys. But I’ll let AC tell you about them:

This litter of beagle mix puppies arrived at the shelter (with their mom) malnourished and in poor condition. After several months of intense treatment, they have recovered and are anxious to settle into permanent homes. There are two female and three male puppies. Mom is also available and cute as a button! Please come see them today!

Just look at those big brown eyes, begging: Someone spring us outta this joint, please!?

I don’t know whether mom’s already been adopted, or hasn’t yet been listed on Petfinder, but I can’t seem to find her among Gladstone AC’s other listings. If you’d like to adopt a mother and her babe, though, it can’t hurt to ask!
