Update, 3/18/09: Oh, yays! Tango has been adopted. With a face like that, was there any doubt?
With his goofy big head and adorable grin, this week’s Featured Adoptable made me stop in my tracks. Me want!
Tango is a super sweet teddybear of a dog! He is approx 4 years old, though acts even younger. He LOVES people and wiggles his entire body when he meets anyone. He can be playful and goofy, but also sweet and cuddley. He’s got a big squishy head and fluffy body that’s perfect for snuggling with on a cold winter day.
He was found running the streets by a kind person who has temporarily taken him in, though needs to find him a permanent place. His foster mom says she just adores him and he follows her from room to room in the house, always by her side. He enjoys lounging at her feet too. He does a very cute thing where he sits for attention and puts one paw up as if to point. It is very endearing. He loves to go for his walks and romp around in the yard with the other dogs. He’s a very happy-go-lucky kind of guy. Tango is housebroken, crate trained, and knows some basic commands. He is a quick learner and very motivated by praise and treats!
Tango is so ridiculously cute that I can’t help but post all three of his Petfinder photos! Can we say “cute overload”?
This must be the “pointer pose” his foster mom is talking about.
And what an intelligent, curious looking face!
This charming little fella is staying with the rescue group Life is Good in Kansas City, MO. If Tango doesn’t strike your fancy, there are hundreds (thousands?) of more dogs available for adoption in the KC area.
